She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvard MacDonald and Eleanor MacDonald (Inglis); her sister Jean Roblee; and her husband John Brown. She is survived by: her children, Jayne Ellen Simms (Dainius Dalmotas), Sandra Laurie Simms (Randall Bishop), John David Simms and Ewan Bruce Simms (Julie Ewing); her grandchildren, Alexandra Bishop (Amrit Richardson), Elizabeth Bishop (Ira Henderson), Alasdair Bishop (Stephanie Clarke), Rory Ewing, Victoria Bishop, Ewan Simms and Lachlann Simms; her great grandchildren, Madeline, Lucy, Simon Bishop, Ella and Evelyn Richardson; her cousin Peggy Weymouth Trainer; her nieces, Sharon Webber, Suzanne Shaw, Lorraine Simms and Monique Forse; her nephew Andrew Simms; and her caregiver Sabiné Irwin.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Kings Presbyterian Church (5563 Prospect Rd, New Minas, NS B4N3K5).
