It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Katherine Astika (New Minas, Nova Scotia), who passed away on April 3, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Hartling and Clarabelle Hartling (Wood); her husband Henry "Hank" Astika; her son Eric "Sam" Astika; her grandson Wayne Levy; and her siblings, Pearl Cranley and Alfred Hartling.
She is survived by: her children, Garfield Langille (Sheila) of White Rock, Marshall Astika (Debbie) of Calgary, Alberta, Vaughn Astika of Edmonton, Alberta, Dale Astika (Karen) of Edmonton, Alberta, Judy Langille-Caswell (Gerald), Tanya Astika (Tom Ullyett), Whitehorse and Yukon; her sister Flora Hamer of Dartmouth; and her grandchildren, Jeffrey, Brian, Matthew Langille, Lynnette Levy, Kenny Madill, John Astika, Angie Astika-Kew, David, Jared Astika, Emma, Coralee Ullyett, Samantha Astika and Bruce Radau. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
