He was predeceased by: his parents, Oswald Phalen and Henrietta "Etta" Phalen (Morley); his wife Bessie Cox; and his brothers, Donald and Wilfred.
He is survived by: his son Randy (Debbie); his sister Doreen Corkum; and his grandsons, Colton and Connor. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
