He was predeceased by: his wife Elske; and his children, Ewout (Leslie), Ronald (Cindy), Steam Mill, Raymond (Wanda), Aylesford Lake, Sharon (Lawrence Parker), Coretta (Jamie Rowsell), Coldbrook and Melinda (Warren Lampitt).

He is survived by: The Netherlands. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother in Australia; one sister.
