She was predeceased by: her parents, MacKenzie Grimm and Ethel Grimm (Bond); her husband Alton Demings; her sister Frances Barkhouse; and her half-sister Freda Boudas.
She is survived by: her children, Tina DeWitt (Timothy Campbell), Tammy Demings (Joe Bishop) and MacKenzie Demings (Annette); her sisters, Patricia McBay and Joyce Vaughan; her half-sister Kay Bailey of Naples, FL; her grandchildren, Andrew, Ashley, Shawna and Trevor; her great grandchildren, Alex, Jayde, Rylie, Owen, Hayden and Londyn; and her caregivers, Leona and Theresa. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and many, friends.
