It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Derrick Carmen Salsman of New Minas, Nova Scotia, born in Berwick, Nova Scotia, who passed away on July 4, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parent Russell Salsman. He is survived by: his mother Phyllis Salsman (Steadman); his wife Donna (Keddy); his children, Nikolas and Renée Porter (Colton); his granddaughter Gemma; his siblings, Kathy, Larry (Shoneth) and Rick (Joy); and his siblings-in-law, Bruce and Linda Blakeney. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; grand-nieces and a grand-nephew, special family member.
