He was predeceased by: his brothers, William and Ronald; and his siblings-in-law, Velma and Norman. He is survived by: his son Steve (Jessica); his grandson Reagan; his wife Madeline (Gilbert); his daughter Cassandra (David); his grandchildren, Jordan and Brandon; his great grandchildren, Emersyn, Marium, Micah, Elizabeth and Keziah; his daughter Lori (Wendell); his granddaughter Breanna; his son Shannon (Jodi); his grandchildren, Lindsey and Londyn; his daughter Cyndal; his brother Gordon (Bessie); and his siblings-in-law, Linda, Gerald (Leona), Ivan (Carol), Lee and Roy. He is also survived by his family, friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Lung Association or the IWK Children's Hospital.
