It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alton Basil Demings of New Minas, Nova Scotia, born in Springhill, Nova Scotia, who passed away on November 6, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Demings and Hattie Demings (Stonehouse); and his siblings, Beryl Chipman, Evelyn Walsh (Robert), Shirley Starratt, Dorothy Porter, Ronald, Carl (Jean) and Fraser.
He is survived by: his wife Joan (Grimm); his children, Tina DeWitt (Timothy Campbell), Tammy Demings (Joe Bishop) and MacKenzie Demings (Annette); his grandchildren, Andrew, Ashley, Shawna and Trevor; and his great grandchildren, Alex, Jayde, Rylie, Owen, Hayden and Londyn. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
