He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Long and Clyde Long; and his brother Kevin Long. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Olan and Willow DeYoung; his sisters, Sharon Lorge (Armand), Ardyth Palmer (Geordie) and Audrey Goswell (Tim) of Lellan's Brook; his aunt Phyllis Costantino of Belmont; his nieces and nephews, Craig Lorge (Angela), Dana Lorge (Cait), Matthew Lorge (Lisa), Erin Neufeld (Scott), Jan Halliday (Mark), Elana Pollock (Jeff), Justine Kelly (Jamie), Brennan Goswell (Ashley) and Andrew Goswell (Emily); his cousins, Cheryl MacKean (Red), Judy Curruthers (Ron), Jim Cruickshank (Elizabeth) and Janice Cruickshank; and also Amanda.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the H. W. Angus Funeral Home (256 King St, New Glasgow, NS B2H4X8).
Donations in memory of Robert may be made to the Thorburn Fire Department.
