He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles and Phyllis; his sister Terry "Channy" Gladney; and his parents-in-law, Lawrence and Joan MacKinnon.

He is survived by: his wife Cindy MacLean; his daughter Lindsay Muir (Nathan); his grandchildren, Cameron and Maya; his son Shawn (Emily); his grandson Charlie; and his siblings, Doane (Anne), Kevin (Joan), Mark (Marie), Allie (Kelly) and Debra Fraser (Millan). He is also survived by his children, their spouses, his brothers and sisters and friends.

Masks are mandatory, proof of full vaccination is required to attend the visitation or the funeral.

In lieu of flowers or gifts donations in memory of Phillip can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
