She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Petrie and Marie; and her brothers, Lenny and Kevin. She is survived by: her children, Jenny, Christian (Lori) and Noah; her husband Dave; her grandson Simon; her friends, Cheryl, Heather, Marie and Peggy; and her extended family, Peggy, Rick DeCoste, Gerald, Kathy Delorey, Marie Chisholm, Richard, Gosha Delorey and Darrell Delorey.

In Peggy's memory, donations may be made to Hope for Wildlife or Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia.

“Dave and family Peggy would have loved how you all worked together to make her celebration of life such a true reflection of who she was as a person, mother, and soulmate to Dave. Seeing Jenny, Christian and Noah all grown up made me think of what an amazing parent she was giving all the love and kindness she had. There were lots of memories of fun times together.
