He was predeceased by: his parents, John Aikens (Jack) and Lavinia Aikens (Mason); his wife Doris Aikens; his son Brian; his granddaughter Amanda Cochrane (Brian); and his siblings, Clarence (Ted), John (Jack), Anna Wernicke, Thirza Frosst, Sadie Golden (Sally), Josephine Redburn, Mona Taylor, George (Geordie) and Helen.
He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Frosst (Melvin), Linda DeYoung (Bruce), John Aikens (Barb), Alice Mattatall (Kevin) and Heather Arbuckle (Darryl); and his brother Donald Aikens. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 28 Great -grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
