He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross MacDonald and Elizabeth MacDonald (Campbell); his siblings, Willena Darroch (Angus), Evelyn MacLaren (Neil) and Irving MacDonald (Sherry); his brothers-in-law, Francis Guptill, Colin MacCulloch, Bill Hansen and Blake Stewart; his nephew David MacLaren; his sister-in-law Doreen Kowalski; his parents-in-law, Janet Elizabeth Weir (MacDonald) and Andrew Keith Weir; and his grandparents-in-law, Thomas E. and Jean W. MacDonald (MacNeil).

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn (Weir); his siblings, Iris Guptill, Lydia MacCulloch, Bette Anne Langille (Gordon), Leona Stewart, Ross MacDonald (Gail), Brian MacDonald (Margie) and Marion Montgomery; and his brother-in-law Bobby Kowalski. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
