It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence Bates of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, who passed away on January 15, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Bates and Edna (Chambers). He is survived by: his spouse Jean; his close friend Billy; his stepchildren, Donna Mason Stellarton (George) and Paul Grant Eureka (Mariea Leil); his grandchildren, Amanda (Jared), Brook, Kelly (Steven), Kevin (Alexka) and Grant Stellarton (Brenda); and his siblings, Frankie (Verna), James Greenhill (Darlene), Ricky Trenton (Susan) and Donelda (Halifax). He is also survived by his children, his grandchildren, great grandchildren, his fur grandbabies.
