He was predeceased by: his mother Clara Gordon; his brothers, Paul Gordon and David Gordon; his grandparents, Marion and Elverton Skidmore; and his aunts, Vera Allyson (Arnold Skidmore) and Erle Skidmore.

He is survived by: his daughters, Stephanie and Kristy Gordon; his grandson Braeden Gordon-McGaffey; his siblings, Don Gordon, Marion Gordon, Elaine Gordon, Darlene Gordon, Heather Lee Gordon and Susan Gordon; and his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Gordon, Jillian Gordon, Cyndi Gordon, Danielle Gordon and Corey Gordon.
