It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katrina Mary Ethel Halfpenny (New Glasgow, Nova Scotia), who passed away on December 25, 2018, at the age of 29, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Loyola, Doug Halfpenny and Marianne Lanneval Matthieu. She is survived by: her parents, Darlene Halfpenny and Mike Halfpenny; her siblings, Sheena (Andrew MacDougall) and Daniel; her children, Leyara and Jasper; her former wife Evelyn Dillman; her aunts and uncles, Susie (Hughie Chisholm), Elaine (Gary MacMaster), Marilyn (Peter Conrad), Carol (Rod White), Donnie Layes, Blair Halfpenny (Charlene) and Paul Halfpenny (Julie); and her grandparents, Ethel, Bernie Layes and Valu Village.
