John Forsyth Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Forsyth (New Glasgow, Nova Scotia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 25, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Forsyth (Jock) and Margaret Catherine Forsyth (Kay); his brother Douglas Forsyth; his siblings-in-law, Roma Forsyth, Wayne Clyburn, Douglas "Weasel" Cooley and Kenneth Smith (Kenny); his parents-in-law, Clarence and Elizabeth MacDougall; and his nephew Stephen Forsyth.
He is survived by: his wife Ferne (MacDougall); his son Shane Allan Forsyth (Valerie); his stepgrandchildren, Laura Doucette and Sean Robson; his daughter Sasha Vlemma (George); his grandchildren, Adara and Ava Vlemma; and his siblings, Betty Clyburn, Stuart "Bob" Forsyth (Karen), Alberta, Lynn Cooley, Scott (Edith), New Glasgow and Janice Harris (Sandy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the H. W. Angus Funeral Home (256 King St, New Glasgow, NS B2H4X8). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
If you wish, donations can be made in Dad's memory to the Pictou County SPCA, First Presbyterian Church, Stellarton, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
