With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Burton Dalling (New Glasgow, Nova Scotia), born in Westville, Nova Scotia, who passed away on February 24, 2018. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mildred (Connell); his son-in-law Raymond MacMillan; his parents, John Dalling and Muriel Dalling (Gourley); his parents-in-law, Jim Connell and Marion Connell; his siblings-in-law, Alex Cunningham, Ralph Connell, Frank McLean, Ugo Salmaso, Jimmy Connell, Eva McLean, June Salmaso and Audrey MacDonald; and his nephews, Michael Connell, Timmy Connell, Anthony Salmaso and Mario Salmaso.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lynne MacMillan and Lee Ann Dalling; his grandchildren, Shane MacMillan (Tessa) and Alisha MacMillan (Jordan Dickson); his sister Doreen Cunningham of Rothesay, NB; and his siblings-in-law, Jack MacDonald of Truro and Bev Connell of Westville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Donations in Dad's memory may be made the Pictou County Sports Heritage Hall of Fame.
