He was predeceased by: his father Marshall Sangster; and his brother Lawrence Sangster. He is survived by: his wife Pat (DeCoste); his children, Sherri MacDonald (John MacDonnell), Sam DeCoste, Dr. Jeannie MacDonald (Beth Taylor) and James MacDonald (Candy); his grandchildren, Kenzie, Ewan MacDonnell, Ryley, Kaden MacDonald, Olive, Sadie, Angus and Edwin Taylor-MacDonald; and his siblings, Wayne (Elizabeth), Fred Sangster (Linda), Howard Sangster, Jim Sangster (Carol), Jean Cameron (late Sandy), Alice Whitewood (Sam), Noreen Fitt (Pat), Marilyn Richey (Robert Presseau), Edith Wright and Valerie Gillis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
