She was predeceased by: her parents, William Joseph and Ann Burnetta "Annie" Avery (Cox); her husband Kenneth Roy Guthro; her granddaughter Shona; and her siblings, Mary "Dolly" Arthurs, Isabel Avery, Joseph Avery and Cecil Avery.
She is survived by: her children, Dawn Humphreys (Gary) of Walkerville, Steven Guthro (Kippy) of Bailey's Brook and Beth Williams (Jeff) of Ponds; her grandchildren, Meghan, Luke, Jake, Janae, Charlotte and Lauren; her great grandchildren, Spencer, Kate, Jordan, Andrew, Lilah, Braelyn, Lydia, Hendrix, Remi, Quinn and Layne; and her siblings, Hazel Hughes (Ulysse) and John Avery (Judy). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the P & K MacDonald Funeral Home (536 Merigomish Rd, New Glasgow, NS B2H5E3). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:40 AM at the P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel (536 Merigomish Rd, New Glasgow, NS B2H5E3).
