She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Aikens and Edna Aikens; her husband Vernon; and her siblings, Lloyd, Evelyn, Molly Carolyn, Lola, Warren and Doris.
She is survived by: her children, David Bonvie (Marnie) and Janet Reeder (Stan); her grandchildren, Chris (Meghann), Emie (Brad), Brett, Reed (Whitney) and Zachary; her great grandchildren, Bauer, Lily, Bella, Brendan and Tayvee; her sisters, Eva, Isabel and Diane; and her sister-in-law Shirley.
Helen was the caregiver for Vernon for many years after his Parkinson's diagnosis. Before and after his death, she was a faithful member and fundraiser for the Parkinson Society of Nova Scotia.
