He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna MacLellan (Woods) and John D MacLellan; and his siblings, Lester (Irene), Grant (Patsy), Mary Sanders (John) and Isabel Adamson (Oliver).

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy (MacDonald); his children, Paul (Tena) and Judith; his grandchildren, Lyndon (Arlene) and Cailan (Campbell); his stepgrandchildren, Nick Arbuckle (Jennifer) and Nicole Magee (Will); his great grandchildren, Bentley, Emmerson and Nathan; his nieces and nephews, Raymond (Bernadette), Betty Meikle (Brian), Faye Acorn, Ron, John (Beth), Anne (Norman), Joey (Shawna), Robert, James, Charles, Rosemary (Derek), Debbie Sangster (Al Harris), Wanda Sampson and Wendy Burns (Robert); and his pet Kit.
