It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Russell Mason (New Glasgow, Nova Scotia), who passed away on March 21, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Grant Mason and Sadie Mason (Smith); his brothers, Brenton, Warren, Raymond and Walter; and his in-laws, Sally, Glen and Dick.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Mason (MacDonald) of Abercrombie; his close friend Daryl Allard; his siblings, Marion (Carl), Thelma, Linda, Wayne (Cathy), Carol, Stan (Bonnie), Dave (Barb), Sheila, Neil (June), Kenny (Elaine) and Sandra; and his siblings-in-law, Eunice and Barry (Elizabeth). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Donations may be made in George's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Palliative Care Unit at the Aberdeen Hospital.
