George Durning Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Durning (New Glasgow, Nova Scotia), born in Economy, Nova Scotia, who passed away on July 12, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret; and his sister Ruth Fisher. He is survived by: his parents, Fred Graham Durning and Ella May Durning (Cavanagh); his children, David (Lara), Jamie (Phyllis), Halifax, Kevin (Cindy), Musquodoboit Harbour, Ian (Gabrielle), Helen Snortland (Darrel) of New Glasgow, Medicine Hat of New Glasgow and Janice Alcorn (Andrew) of New Glasgow; and his brother Jamie (Elizabeth). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.
Donations may be made to the Palliative Care Society of the Aberdeen Hospital, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada, New Glasgow Music Festival or any other charity of your choice.
