He was predeceased by: his parents, Abraham Avery and Margaret Avery (Guthro); his daughter Cathy Lee Avery; and his sister Mary Catherine MacDonald (Bunnie). He is survived by: his children, John Frederick Avery (Cathy) and Nina Suzanne Avery (Bob); his grandson Sean Michael Cyr; his nephews, Alan, Fred, Stephen and Billy; and his niece Tara.
