We are sad to announce that on February 8, 2022, at the age of 89, Francis Joseph Dorrington of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Dorrington and Hilda Dorrington (Jewell); his siblings, Angelo, Thomas, Sylvia and Joseph "Joe"; and his son-in-law Vannie Taylor III.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Margaret (Wyse); his children, Washington, DC, Jocelyn, Cassandra, Cynthia (Wayne Hodgson), Dwight (Mayple), Brampton Ont and Lyndon (Kathleen) of Langley, BC; his grandchildren, Nicole, Justin, Jhordan and Nicholas; his siblings, Marie (Brian), Ann, Thurman (Anne), Henry (Gloria), Howard (Micheline), James (Linda), Andrew (Bridget) and Leonard (Ida); and his sister-in-law Marlene. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Francis to Second United Baptist Church, New Glasgow or Aberdeen Palliative Care Society.
