She was predeceased by: her parent William Patrick; her husband Sterling; her son Sterling "Buddy" Rhyno; her granddaughter Sheri-Lynn McEwan (Terry Boyles); her son-in-law Gordon MacKenzie; and her siblings, Norma Carr, Jean Capstick, Ross and Kenneth.
She is survived by: her parent Marjorie Patrick (Brown); her children, Gail McEwan, Judy MacKenzie of Scotsburn, Jo-Anne Smith (Marshall) of Grants Lake, Cathy Andrews (Al) of Waverley, Wendy Rhyno Gillis (Glen), Darlene Wilson (Darrin) of Black Creek, BC, Donna Adamson (Tom) of Lyons Brook, Ross Rhyno (Rose), Stoney Creek, David Rhyno and Donnie Rhyno (Karen) of MacLellan; her grandchildren, Billy, Patricia (Kevin), Wanda (Bobbie), Cheryl (Roddy), Debbie (Todd), Jennifer (Chris), Angela (Trevor), David (Tawyna), Michael (Christine), Steve (Shasta), Ashlea (Mike), Andrea, Ben (Jaime), Andrew (Felicia), Alana (Mike) and Sara (Tyler); her great grandchildren, Alex, Emma, Robbie (Lindsay), Lauren, Ethan, Taylor (Conway), Ian, Jacob, Liam, Luke, Olivia, Ayven, Amelia, Rowan, Brody, Jayce, Owen, Logan and Grayson; her great great grandchildren, Seth, Scarlett and Charlie; and her brother Gary of Winnipeg.
Donations may be made in Doris's memory to the Pictou County Ostomy Association, Aberdeen Health Foundation Palliative Care Unit Endowment, Glen Haven Manor Recreation Fund, or a charity of choice.
