He was predeceased by: his parent Hector Gardiner; and his siblings, Mary Houle, Grace Amelia Pigeon, William Gardiner (Bill), Raymond Gardiner, Albert Gardiner, Rev Harold Gardiner (Howie), Roy Gardiner, Frederick Gardiner and Kevin Gardiner.
He is survived by: his parent Clara Gardiner (MacSween); his children, Karen Gardiner of Halifax and Donald Gardiner (Kimberley); his grandchildren, Grace, Madison and Jackson; his former wife Margaret Gardiner of New Glasgow; and his siblings, Audrey Cameron of New Glasgow and Robert Gardiner (Bob) of New Glasgow.
Burial will take place at a later date . Donations in memory of Donnie may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Fund , St.F.X.
