He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Riggs and Esther Riggs (Fizzard); his wife Isabelle; and his siblings, Frances Cameron, Susie Sangster and Roy Riggs.

He is survived by: his sons, Timothy Riggs and Mark Riggs; and his siblings, Cassie MacDonald (Stellarton), Phyllis Cameron (Stellarton), Joann Walsh (New Glasgow) and Bruce Riggs (Edmonton). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:50 PM at the P & K MacDonald Funeral Home Limited Chapel (536 Merigomish Rd, New Glasgow, NS B2H5E3). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel (536 Merigomish Rd, New Glasgow, NS B2H5E3).

In lieu of flowers, donations in Charlie's memory may be made to a charity of choice.
