It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy O'Laney (New Glasgow, Nova Scotia), who passed away on November 4, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Ray "Doug" and Emma Philomena O'Laney (Gomm); his siblings, Eva Dean and Dan Praught; his father-in-law Robert MacDonald; his brothers-in-law, Thomas "Trout" MacDonald, George Simms, Carl MacLeod and Roy Rogers; and his nephews, James Freeman, Michael and Mark MacLeod.
He is survived by: his wife Jenny; his children, Jason (Kelly), Red Deer, Alta, Holly (Corey), Janelle (Shawn) and Melody (Will) of Squamish, B. C.; his grandchildren, Tristin, Keel, Jett, True, Emma, Rhys, Sawyer, Nolan, Dillon, Nathan and Frank; his siblings, Theresa, Dot, Doug (Freda), David (Karen), Charlie (Patsy), Faith (Roger), Kathy, Denise (Eddie) and Darlene (Clint); his mother-in-law Irene MacDonald; and his sisters-in-law, Deborah, Kathy (Les) and Cindy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
