Bertha Isabel Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertha Isabel (New Glasgow, Nova Scotia), born in Canso, Nova Scotia, who passed away on September 25, 2018, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parent Mansfield Simon; her husband Harold Mabey; her sons, Raymond Barkhouse and Terry Barkhouse; her great grandchildren, Brandon and Nikki; her siblings, Edna Dort, Leona George, Amanda "Mandy" Feltmate, Coleman (Blanche), Gordon, Douglas and Stanley; her daughter-in-law Connie Barkhouse; and her siblings-in-law, Elizabeth Newell and Howard Greencorn.

She is survived by: her parent Lila Louella Newell (Feltmate); her daughters, Donna Rice (Peter) of Pictou and Fay Carty (Gordon) of Antigonish; her sister Jean Greencorn; her grandchildren, Tammy Barkhouse, Darrell Barkhouse, Roxanne Smith, Troy Smith and Jason Carty; her great grandchildren, Jennifer, Alex, Stephanie, Riley, Travis, Natasha, Victoria, Kyle and Annika; her great great grandchildren, Kegan, Ryan, Kadin, Kaylee, Kenzie, Lucas, Owen and Lexus; and her sister-in-law Ann Newell of New Glasgow.
