She was predeceased by: her parents, Allan Marshall and Mabel Marshall (Miller); her former husband William Cooke; her husband Leamon Ryan; her half-brother Jack Miller; her stepmother Patricia (MacKenzie); her stepsiblings, Florence Marshall and James'Tug'Marshall; and her children-in-law, Joyce (Rhyno Cooke) and Rod McInnis.
She is survived by: her children, C. Lynn Cooke, W. Michael Cooke, Wendy McInnis, Karen MacNeil (Bernard), Martin Cooke, Leanne Ryan-White (Chris) and Kenneth D. Marshall; her grandchildren, Andrew MacDougall, Erin Trowell (Dan), Mitchell MacNeil, Edison Skinner, Sean McInnis and Charlie White; her great grandchildren, Aidan and Avery Trowell; her stepgranddaughters, Susan (Chad), Joanna and Janet (Mathieu); her sister Barbara Dawson; her siblings-in-law, Clarita Marshall and Melvin Ryan (Beverly); and also, Katelyn, Aaron, Selina and Lathan. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and treasured long-time friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the R. H. Porter Funeral Home (55 Almont Ave, New Glasgow, NS B2H 3G5). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. Prior to the Covid restrictions, she never missed a parade or festival.
