She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Chesley and Mary Elizabeth MacFarlane (MacDonald); her husband William Ronald "Bill" Weatherbie; her daughter Barbara Ryan; her granddaughter Dawn Marie Ryan; her sons-in-law, William "Billy" Ryan and John MacLeod; and her siblings-in-law, Mable, Francis Irving (Alex), Shirley Moore (Floyd), Jim (Jo), Raymond (Lou), Roland (Bernice), Earl, Herb (Hazel) and Doug.
She is survived by: her children, Catherine MacLeod, Douglas Weatherbie (Debbie), Lyons Brook, Robert "Rob" Weatherbie, William "Will" Weatherbie and Trenton; her grandchildren, Abby Weatherbie, Matthew MacLeod and David MacLeod (Brenden); her great grandchildren, Ella and Ava; and her sister Blanche MacFarlane. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM at the P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel (536 Merigomish Rd, New Glasgow, NS B2H5E3). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
