With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Arlene Thistle of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, who passed away on March 2, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Thistle and Mary Thistle (MacInnis); her siblings, David Thistle and Janice; and her great-nephew Chace MacDonald.

She is survived by: her friend Sharron Crowther; her sisters, Joan MacLean (Kevin) and Sharon Hirtle (Darrell); her nieces, Chrissy Core (Glen), Heather Colpitts (Scottie), Michele Fanning (AJ) and Lynn MacDonald (Thomas); her nephew Kelly Hirtle (Bethany); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Billy Martell and Terry Morrison.

Donations can be made to Aberdeen Palliative Care Society or VON.
