He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Alvin and Ellen D. Ross (MacKay); his wife Joan Marie; his daughter Peggy Lee; his sister Sandra MacDougall; and his brother-in-law Rand MacDougall.

He is survived by: his nephews, Kent MacDougall (Ann) and Rob MacDougall; his extended family, Bill and Marie Fraser; and also, Tracey Fraser (Yuri Power), Lynn Fraser (Glenn), Susan Rogers (Matthew) and Pam Francis (Robbie). He is also survived by 3 great-nieces, and a great-nephew.
