He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil and Ila Barron; his former wife Barbara; his son Peter J.; his sister Eileen; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy, Olin Ritchie and Ed Dodds.

He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Steven (Donna), Linda, Christine (Greg), Susan and Kelly (Scott); his grandchildren, Jim, Bradley, Todd (Tracy), Heidi (Alec), Ryan (Vanessa), Amir and Kian; and his great grandchild Ruby. He is also survived by his nephews and, nieces.
