He was predeceased by: his father Michael T. MacKinnon; and his brother-in-law Brian MacNeil. He is survived by: his mother Mary Jeanette (Jean Brophy); and his siblings, James MacKinnon (Maxine), Robert MacKinnon (Marilyn), Dianne MacNeil, Janet Grady and Karen Druken (Stephen).
