She was predeceased by: her parents, Roderick Smith and Ruth Dunbar (Fisher) of Mulgrave, NS.; her stepmother Olive; her brother Douglas Everett Dunbar; and her sister-in-law Flora Dunbar.

She is survived by: her half-brother Donald R. Dunbar (Yvonne) of Sherbrooke, NS; and her nieces and nephews, David (Katie MacDonald) of Sherbrooke, NS, Carolyn Peters (Grant) of Sherbrooke, NS, Rod of Sherbrooke, NS, Arlene Worth (Cory) of Sherbrooke, NS, Linda Sangster (Ashley) of New Harbour, NS and Ruth McCowan (Bruce) of Victoria, B. C..
