It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Veronica of Mulgrave, Nova Scotia, born in Judique, Nova Scotia, who passed away on May 18, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Alex Gillies; her daughter Angela; her son-in-law Hector MacDonald; and her siblings, Charlotte, Florence McKenna, Laura MacLean, Helen Robertson, Angus MacDonell, Allan MacDonell, Stanley Macdonald, Colin Macdonald (Twins) and John Oswin Macdonald.
She is survived by: her children, Carole Gillies (Dan O'Connell), Donald Gillies, Veronica Gillies (Doug Myer) and Mary Anne Gillies (Peter MacGillivray); her grandchildren, Joshua MacInnis (Charlotte Keates), John Alex MacDonald (Morgan Wheaton), Mary Anne MacDonald (Thierry Grimon), Lennox MacGillivray (Claire Schofer) and Anna MacGillivray; her great grandchildren, Maggie Mac Innis, Alec MacInnis, Jack MacDonald, Max MacDonald and David Grimon; and her siblings, Angus L. Macdonald and Phyllis. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
