He was predeceased by: his parent William Brophy; his wife Shirley Brophy (Woodman); and his siblings, Margaret, Seward, Russell, Jerome, Johnson, Arthur, Winston and Kaye Elaine.
He is survived by: his parent Kaye Brophy (Johnston); and his children, Carol Anne MacKinnon (Robin), Georgetown, Sheila of Mulgrave, Billy Joe (Judy), Doug (Meabh) and Cole Harbour. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
