He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William and Mary Ellen (Power); his siblings, Mary, Gertrude and Gordon; his wife Kathleen (Hoskin); his children, James (Lucie), Mary Crooks (Brian), Robert (Gayle), Katherine Gallagher (Stephen), Teresa Scalzo (John), Barry and Gary (Blythe); his granddaughter Victoria Langenmaier (Konrad); and his children, Joshua (Heather), Ellen, Billy (Dominique), Danielle Djelic (Lucas), Patrick, Nicholas, Jonathan, Michael, Kaleigh Ann Smith (Justin), Peter, Laura, Sara, Jack (Jennifer), Luke, Isaac, Charlotte, Cadence and Abigail.
On a foundation of faith and fortitude, they built a loving life together for 75 years, first in Woodside (Immaculate Conception Parish), then Dartmouth (St. Peter's Parish) and Porter's Lake, and lastly in Annapolis Valley (St. Monica's Church).
