With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sheilah Christine Thompson of Middleton, Nova Scotia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 20, 2025 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Phinney and Gladys Phinney (MacDonald); her siblings, Audrey Millett, Kathryn Marshall, Jean Dumeah, Vernon Phinney, Beldon Phinney and Ian Phinney; and her daughter-in-law Michelle Thompson (Peter).

She is survived by: her husband Graham Kenneth Thompson of Nictaux, NS; her son Peter of Dartmouth, NS; her granddaughters, Nina Mombourquette (Cody McPherson) and Natalie of Halifax, NS; and her brother Richard "Dick" Phinney of Calgary, AB. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Donations in Sheilah's memory may be made to Middleton Baptist Church, Macdonald Museum, or Parkinson's Foundation of Canada.
