She was predeceased by: her husband Roy Elwin Janes; her parents, Michael Murphy and Rita Murphy (Hall); and her siblings, John (Carmel), Eileen (Michael Cleary) and Paula (Frank Buck).
She is survived by: her children, Michael (Mary Ann) of Edmonton, AB, Paula (Mark Woodland) of Kingston, NS, Rick (Donna) of Beaverbank, NS, Chris (Cathy) of Kingston, NS and John (Teresa) of Morden, NS.. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and another great grandson.
She took immense joy knitting small hats and baby blankets, donating them to be given out to newborns in local hospitals.
