It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Lillian Benson (Middleton, Nova Scotia), born in Vancouver, British Columbia, who passed away on November 4, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Evelyn Greer and Walter Greer; her husband Benjamin; and her son Douglas McElwee. She is survived by: her children, Diane Boyce of Spencerville, ON and Stephen McElwee of Quenel, BC; her daughter-in-law Terry McElwee of Wilmot, NS; her grandchildren, Donny (Melanie), Arlene Nicol (Shannon), Shane, Amy and James; her great grandchildren, Shea, Kaleena, Kelsey and Myles; and her great great grandchild Aubree.
