He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Beattie and Marjorie Beattie (Mac Gowan); and his siblings, Earl, Thomas and Erma.
He is survived by: his brother Donald Beattie (Marilyn) of Annapolis Royal; and his niece Susan. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
