He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Smith and Edna E. Smith (DeLong); and his brother Harold Smith. He is survived by: his wife Gertrude M. Corkum; his sons, David Smith (Karla), Donald Smith (Tammy Crossland) and Windermere; his stepdaughter Catherine Ward (John Morris); his grandchildren, Joel (Tracy), Jennifer Smith (Jason), Laura Bauer (Christian) and Samantha Ward (Nick); his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Quinn and Emmerich; and his brother Donald "Don" Smith (late Jeanette).
