He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman 'Jack Garnett and Daisy Garnett (Lee); his son Brian Garnett; and his sisters, Margarite 'Maggie Lutz, Eileen 'Honey Costa and Thelma Jorritsma (Ramon 'Mona Pearl).
He is survived by: his wife Doris May Garnett (Salsman); his son David Garnett; his sister Jeannette Dyksterhuis; his grandchildren, Jody Garnett, Sherry Grant (John MacIsaac), Shelley Garnett (Steven Llewellyn), Melanie Collins (Mark), Angela Garnett (Billy Joe Leclair), Ashley Garnett (Albert Hebb) and Courtney Garnett (Morgan Lynch); and his great grandchildren, Logan, Coltin, Kelsea, Hayley, Hayden, Coen, Cole, Mason, Ira and Maverick. He is also survived by nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends.
