He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Smale and Ida Smale (Short); his wife Carol; and his siblings, Gladys, Winifred, Radience, William, Russell, Frederick and Reginald.
He is survived by: his brothers, Moving and Storage Limited; his sons, Michael and Patrick (Carmen); his grandson Noah; his daughter Elizabeth (Samuel); his grandchildren, Mitchel, Mathew and Luke; and his great grandchildren, Elliana, Evelynn and Erikson.
