He was predeceased by: his parents, Seymour Whynot and Gertrude Whynot (Connell); his brother Floyd; his son Earl Jr. "Bud"; and his granddaughter Mellisa Clayton-Welton.
He is survived by: his wife Frances (Whitman); and his children, Juanita Clayton (Keith), Gordon Whynot (Beth), Inglisville, Alan Whynot (Carol), Brickton and Wayne Whynot (Darlene). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
