He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Hibbert and Marjory Grace Hatt (Balsor); his brother Lewis "Manning" Hatt; and his nephew Steve Hatt. He is survived by: his cousin Cameron Hatt (Camy); his close friend Larry McInnis; his children, Scott Hatt (Jeannie Saltzman), Angela Hatt of Torbay, NL and Tommi Laffin (Ian); his siblings, Cecil Hatt (Greta), Reuben Hatt (Nancy) and Gwen Heidi (Mervin); his grandchildren, Cody Hatt (Emma Johnson), Malissa Bradford (Ryan), Naomi Hatt, Devin Hatt (Cayla VanHouwelingen), Robert Spencer (Kodie), Matthew Laffin, Jenny Laffin (Steven Shaw) and Morgan Laffin; and his great grandchildren, Alex, Conner, Paisley and Evan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
